Ion Chromatography (7 common anions)

Seven anions found in surface and subsurface waters (fluoride, chloride, bromide, nitrite, nitrate, sulfate, and phosphate) are quantified by ion chromatography on a Thermo Scientific Integrion HPIC system. Liquid samples are filtered <0.45 micron and passed through high pressure guard and analytical columns. Anions are identified based on known retention times ("peak windows") and concentrations are determined by regression of signal strength against 5-level calibration curves. Signal capture is achieved with an electrical conductivity detector.
