Ion Chromatography (7 common anions)

Seven anions found in surface and subsurface waters (bromide, chloride, fluoride, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, and sulfate) are quantified by ion chromatography on a Thermo Scientific Integrion HPIC system. Unpreserved liquid samples are filtered <0.45 micron and passed through high pressure guard and analytical columns. Anions are identified based on known retention times and concentrations are determined by regression of signal strength against 5-level calibration curves. Signal capture is achieved with an electrical conductivity detector.  Matrix effects must be considered.
